PT Rig Tenders Indonesia Tbk. (“the Company”), is domiciled in Jakarta with its registered headquarters located at Wisma Rig Tenders, Jalan Dr. Saharjo No. 129, Jakarta 12860. The Company is principally engaged in the chartering of tugs and barges to transport coal and other bulk aggregates to coal mining industry as well as chartering of supply vessels and accommodation and work over barges to support offshore oil and gas industry.
This includes offshore support services in various phases of offshore exploration, development, and production activities, largely related to placement, installation, maintenance and substitution services for offshore installations, pipe-laying and single buoy mooring, salvage operation, as well as ship management and agency services.
The Company was founded jointly by Mr. Boedihardjo Sastrohadiwirjo and Rig Tenders Inc in 1974, and subsequently listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange on 5 March 1990.
The controlling shareholder of the Company is Scomi Marine Services Pte Ltd (“SMS”) with total shares amounting to 490,597,000 shares or 80.54% of the Company’s issued shares.
SMS was incorporated in Singapore on 27 July 2005 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Scomi Marine Berhad (“SMB”), a company listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd. The principal activities of SMS are marine vessel transportation and investment, whereas SMB’s principal activities are investment holding and provision of management services.
The Company today has representative offices in Banjarmasin, Kotabaru, Balikpapan and Kelanis. Clients include major offshore oil and gas companies operating in Indonesia, such as Pertamina Hulu Energy (formerly BP West Java Ltd), China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), Chevron Indonesia Company (formerly Unocal Corporation), Kangean Energy Ltd and Total E&P Indonesie Ltd. Two most prominent customers of the Company’s coal transportation services are PT Adaro Indonesia and PT Arutmin Indonesia.
The Company currently own and operate a fleet of, 8 Supply Vessels, 25 Tugs, 2 Accommodation/Work Over Barges, 7 Flat Top Barges, and 7 Self Discharging Barges. There are 54 staff in the office and 413 crew on-board our vessels. The Company has develop an Integrated QHSE System to enhance the safety and competency of the staffs and crews. Training needs are also address in the Integrated QHSE System. The Company, PT.Rig Tenders Indonesia,Tbk is certified by a third party certification body, the scope of certification is Ship Management & Operations of vessels ( related to the office ).
In keeping with its determination to improve its business practices, the Company has been accredited with ISO 9001:2008 for Quality Standards, OHSAS 18001:2007 for Health Management Standards, ISM Code for Safety Management Standards, ISO 14001:2004 for Environmental Standards, and ISPS Code (International Ship and Port Facility Security) for Security Standards, all internationally recognized. The Company has also obtained the Document of Compliance (DOC).
Following therefrom, the Company has established a set of in internal guidelines to meet the requirements of the various Codes and Standards. Its offshore support vessels and coal transportation vessels are inspected on a regular basis in compliance with the requirements of the ISM Code and other applicable national regulations.
