Specialty Chemicals and Biodiesel Manufacturer in Southeast Asia

PT Eterindo Wahanatama Tbk was incorporated in 1992 as the holding company of the group. Eterindo group’s activities started in 1965 with its trading of chemical products. Today Eterindo has diverted the group business into a resources based by producing Biodiesel and specialty Plasticizers.

Besides domestic market, Eterindo has exported its products worldwide such as Southeast Asia, China, India, Bangladesh, Middle East, Japan, Korea, Australia and United States.

In line with the global issue of increasing fuel demand and also reducing fossil energy resources, including petro diesel, we are looking into the need of creating alternative fuel which is not only serve as a diversification or alternative to the conventional fuel oil but also as an environment friendly source of energy.

Having gone through an extensive study, we have succesfully completed in modifying our existing production facilites in Gresik to enable the plant to produce both specialty plasticizer and Biodiesel/Palm-Methyl-Esther. Currently in the commercial production with capacity of 70,000 MT per annum.

In 2010, Eterindo has acquired 2 palm oil plantation companies in West Kalimantan to strengthen its biodiesel business by having a secure supply of raw material as well as the vertical integration. Each company consists of 20,000 Ha of land, totaling around 40,000 Ha. The plantation is targeted to be completed in 2014 with the production of CPO around 130,000 – 160,000 MTPA.

United Tractors

COMPANY PROFILE:

United Tractors (UT/the Company) was established in 13 October 1972 as exclusive distributor of Komatsu heavy equipment in Indonesia. In 19 September 1989, the Company went public and listed its shares in Jakarta and Surabaya Stock Exchange as PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR), with PT Astra International Tbk as the majority shareholder. Aside of being the largest distributor of heavy equipment in the country, the Company also plays an active role in the field of mining contracting and has recently ventured into coal mining business. The three major business units are known as Construction Machinery, Mining Contracting and Mining.

Construction Machinery

Construction Machinery business unit brings forth the Company’s role as the sole distributor of Komatsu, Nissan Diesel, Scania, Bomag, Valmet and Tadano. The extensive product range allows the Company to cater to the country’s major sectors: mining, agribusiness, construction, forestry, material handling and transportation. After-sales-services are available to all customers throughout nationwide network that encompasses 18 branch offices, 15 site-support offices and 12 representative offices.

The business unit is also supported by subsidiaries that provide related products and services, such as PT United Tractors Pandu Engineering (UTPE), PT Komatsu Remanufacturing Asia (KRA), PT Bina Pertiwi (BP) and PT Multi Prima Universal (MPU).

Mining Contracting

Mining Contracting business unit is managed through one of the Company’s subsidiaries, PT Pamapersada Nusantara (Pama). Established in 1988, Pama provides a range of world-class mining services that extends from mine design, exploration, extracting,hauling, barging and loading. Operating in major coal mining projects in various parts of the country, Pama is widely known as the largest and most commendable coal mining contractor in Indonesia.

Mining

Mining business unit refers to the Company’s most recent venture as a coal mine operator through the acquisition of PT Dasa Eka Jasatama (DEJ), a subsidiary of Pama. The acquisition was fully completed in April 2007. Located in Rantau, South Kalimantan, DEJ mine contains high quality coal of 6,700 kcal, with production capacity of about 3 million tons per annum. Apart from DEJ, the Company’s coal mining activities has been expanded with the accomplishment of coal mining consession infrastructure development of PT Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA), located in Kapuas, Central Kalimantan, acquired in 2008. TTA holds license of coal mining areas and estimated reserves amount of approximately 40 million tons. TTA has commenced its trial production since October 2009.

PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk

COMPANY PROFILE:

PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa (DSS) was established in 1996 and started the business in power and steam generation.

In year 2007 DSS entered the telecomunication infrastructure business by leasing BTS (Base Transceiver Station).

In year 2009 DSS expanded its business by investing in coal mining at PT Bumi Kencana Eka  Sakti.

On December 10, 2009, DSS was listed at Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

Power Generation

The company started its commercial operation in January 1998 by providing power and steam to pulp and paper mills owned by Indah Kiat and Pindo Deli. The company has four units of power plant in Tangerang, Serang, and Karawang.

Currently, the total power capacity is 300 megawatts and the total steam capacity is 1336 tons/hours. The power plants have ISO 9001:2000 certification.

BTS Tower

The company started building 270 BTS towers in year 2007.

A year later, the company had 1105 towers to lease in Java, Bali, and Lombok area. The tenants are telecommunication companies such as Smart Telecom, etc.

Coal Mining

In 2009, the company started to invest in coal mining business by owning 99,99% shares of PT BKES (PT Bumi Kencana Eka Sakti), which owns PKP2B in South Kalimantan and four (4) KP in Sumatera.
