INDIKA ENERGY IN BRIEF

Incorporated in 2000, PT Indika Energy Tbk (”Indika Energy”) was previously known as PT Dipta Diwangkara/PT Indika Inti Energi. Indika Energy however has its roots in the energy sector as far back as 1973 with the establishment of Tripatra, a leader in providing integrated engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services to the oil and gas industry in Indonesia.

Today, Indika Energy (”INDY”, hereafter also referred to as ”the Company” or ”the Group”) is publicly listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) with a market capitalisation of Rp. 11.6 trillion (US$ 1.2 billion)1 with subsidiaries and associated companies concentrating in its three business pillars of energy resources, energy services, and energy infrastructure.

The core strategy for growth has been ”strengthening the foundation for greater value-chain integration”. In 2009, Indika Energy completed its acquisition of PT Petrosea Tbk, a multi-disciplinary engineering, construction and contract mining company with a track record of achievement in Indonesia since 1972.

This significant acquisition not only served to strengthen the Group’s foothold and leadership in EPC services, but consolidated its capacity to deliver total energy services from acquiring mining rights and feasibility studies, to mining operations, processing, production and barging, to transshipment and offtake. In effect, the Company became a fully integrated energy company with strategic synergies in place to power its growth.

As at 31 December 2009, Indika Energy’s consolidated net worth stood at Rp. 5.3 trillion total revenues of Rp. 2.5 trillion, and net income of Rp. 725.7 billion2. The company and its subsidiaries now employ 2,529 employees nationwide. The year 2009 continued Indika Energy’s track record performance in delivering strong profit: Rp. 109.6 billion (2005), Rp. 177.3 billion (2006), Rp. 265 billion (2007), Rp. 1,084.7 billion (2008) and Rp. 725.7 billion2 (2009), while maintaining strong cash balances.

PT. Nippon Indosari Corpindo, Tbk was  incorporated in 1995 and opened its first production plant in 1996 at Jababeka Industrial Estate, Cikarang, West Java as a bread manufacturer with  Sari Roti™ as its primary brand.   To meet  growing consumer demand, PT. Nippon Indosari Corpindo, Tbk then expanded the business by constructing its second production plant in Pasuruan  in 2005.  The rapid  rise in production quantity at its production plant in Jababeka Industrial Estate prompted PT. Nippon Indosari Corpindo, Tbk to expand and built another production facility which is also located at Jababeka Industrial Estate, Cikarang, West Java.   In 2011,  new production plants in Semarang and Medan were built.   PT. The company produces, under the Sari Roti brand, a variety of breads including White Bread, Sweet Bread with various fillings, Sweet Bread with Cream Filling, Bread Roll, Burger Bun & Plain Roll, and Chiffon Cake.   These variants are produced at Sari Roti’s production plants using the best and most modern technology by emphasizing  the 3H principles,  namely, Halal, Hygienic, and Healthy.  Our commitment toward these 3H principles and producing quality and safe products has been  validated by the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) award received by PT. Nippon Indosari Corpindo, Tbk in 2006 for its Sari Roti products.  The HACCP certificate is awarded as a recognition for food safety warranty.  Sari Roti also has a R&D unit to create products which meet consumers’ taste preference and demand.

Sari Roti as the leading bread producer in Indonesia for the last 15 years has won numerous awards, namely: 2009, 2010, 2011 Top Brand, and  Top Brand for Kids in 2009, 2010, 2011,  2010 Marketing Award, 2010 Original Brand,  and 2011 Business Record, and several other awards.

Company Profile

The Company was incorporated in Jakarta in 1981 aimed engaging itself in the business of developing housing and commercial building areas. In 1984, the Company began developing Melati Mas Residence (formerly Villa Melati Mas).

In 2000, company’s shareholder, PT. Gama Nusapala bought company’s ownership from PT. Misori Utama and PT. Indokisar Djaya. This changed ownership was also folowed by the same change to the company’s management. And as the company Management changes, In 2005, the company changed its name from PT. Internusa Artacipta into PT. Karya Cipta Putra Indonesia.

With the rapid development of Melati Mas Residence, in 2004, the company began a new housing complex called Serpong Park. Through this project, the company attempts to get into a different market segment by selling houses at a more affordable price than that of Melati Mas Rsidence.

The successful development of this housing complex is evident from the fact than now 5,000 families are occupying both complexes and also that now more commercial areas, such as shopping malls, shop house, and family sport clubs, are already built in the area.

The housing complexes that the company develops are situated amidst the other large housing complexes such as Alam Sutra, Gading Serpong, and Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) where public facilities like international schools, shopping malls, and entertaiment centers are abudant in the area.

To be specific, Melati Mas Residence and Serpong Park are located in the west part of Jakarta, along Serpong, Tangerang, to be exact, with two accesses to toll roads, namely:

- About 6 Km of the exit off Tomang – Tangerang Toll Road

- About 5 km of the exit off Pondok Indah – Serpong Tangerang Toll Road

The Housing complexes are strategically located and the access to several toll roads gives Melati Mas Residence and Serpong Park another competitive advantage. The housing complexes that the Company develops are located in the rural area with a good prospect as a business establishment and as a resindece at the same time given that the land’s price in that area is still much cheaper than in Jakarta.

In developing housing complexe, the company always abides by the relevant Goverment’s regulations which require that every housing complex be equipped with public and social facilities for its residents. such as prayinh houses, schools, parks, and lakes. With this, the company Hopes that the resindece can live comfortably and safety in every housing complex it develops.
